Many biblical illiterate pastors teach that this earth is only six thousand years old, although the word of God and scientists say otherwise.
In today's post, we are going to prove to you that God's word agrees with the scientists.
To arrive at the true meaning of "THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD", we must note that there are two words translated "foundation" in the New testament : 1. Themelios, and 2. katabole.
The Noun, themelios, occurs in Luke 6:48-49, 14:29, Acts 16:26, Romans 15:20, I Cor. 3:10-12, Eph. 2:20, I Tim. 6:19, II Tim. 2:19, Heb. 6:1, 11:10, Rev. 21:14, 19:19. It is never used of the word (kosmos) or the earth (ge).
The Noun, katabole, occurs in Matt. 13:35, 25:34, Luke 11:50, John 17:24, Eph. 1:4, Heb. 4:3, 9:26, 11:11, I Peter 1:20, Rev. 13:8, 17:8, and the corresponding verb (kataballo) occurs in II Cor. 4:9, Heb.6:1, and Rev. 12:10.
A comparison of all these passages (especially II Cor. 4:9, Rev. 12:10) will show that kataballo and katabole are not the proper terms of founding and foundation, but the correct meaning is casting down, or overthrow.
Accordingly, the Noun katabole, derived from, and cognate with the Verb, ought to be translated "disruption", or "ruin".
The remarkable thing is that in all occurences (except Heb. 11:11) the word is connected with "the world" (kosmos), and therefore the expression should be rendered "the disruption (or ruin) of the world", clearing referring to the condition indicated in Genesis 1:2, and described in II Peter 3:5-6. For the earth was not created tohu (Isaiah 45:18), but became so, as stated in the Hebrew of Genesis 1:2 and confirmed by II Peter 3:6, where "the world that then was by the word of God (Genesis 1:1), perished, and "the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word" were created (Genesis 2:4), and are "kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment" (II Peter 3:7). which shall usher in the "new heavens and the new earth" of II Peter 3:13.
Something happened to cause the destruction of that first earth age (the age of the dinosaurs). It was the fall of Satan (Ezekiel 28).
Satan is an angel, and he was created by God to be full of beauty and intelligence (Ezekiel 28).
He was assigned to guard the Mercy Seat (the highest position) ; he earned that position because he was so intelligent. However, pride took over, and instead of guarding the Seat he wanted to be the one to sit on it.
In other words, he wanted to be God (he is coming to earth soon to play that role).
He took one third of God's children with him though (Rev. 12:3-4). God did not want to destroy one third of His children, therefore, he destroyed that age, erased our memory, and created this flesh age, born innocent of a woman, and gave mankind a choice ; to choose Him or the devil. This is the reason why this world is so wicked ; one third of these children live today.
Make a note of Proverbs 8:22-25, Isaiah 45:18, Jeremiah 4:22-27, II Peter 3:5-10.
NOTE: IN the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
HE DID NOT SAY WHEN.
2:2 And the earth was without form, and void ; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

THERE IS AN ENTIRE AGE FROM VERSE ONE TO VERSE TWO.
SATAN BROUGHT SIN INTO THAT WORLD.
Everything in God's word make sense.
