Judas Iscariot was one of Jesus' disciples, but end up betraying Him for 30 pieces of silver.
However, he did repent at the end, and gave back the money to the chief priests.
Matthew 27:1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the People took counsel against Jesus to put Him to death :
27:2 And when they had bound Him, they led Him away, and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
ONLY THE GOVERNOR COULD SENTENCE HIM.
PONTIUS PILATE'S WIFE HAD A VISION FROM GOD SAYING, 'DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THAT'.
27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed Him, when he saw that He was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
HAVING IN MIND, THESE CHIEF PRIESTS AND ELDERS WERE KENITES (SATAN'S OFFSPRING), NOT THE TRUE JEWS (JESUS CALLS THEM BY THEIR TRUE NAME IN JOHN 8:38-47).
(TWENTY YEARS AFTER NEHEMIAH, AND 375 YEARS TILL THE ANOINTING OF THE MESSIAH AND THE COMMENCEMENT OF HIS MINISTRY, THE PRIESTS WERE NOT TRUE TO GOD. WHY ? BECAUSE THEY GOT LAZY, AND HIRED THE NETHANIMS (KENITES) TO DO PRIESTLY WORK (EZRA 8:15). THESE NETHANIMS LATER BECAME THE SCRIBES OF JUDAH ; I CHRONICLES 2:55.)
27:4 Saying, "I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood." And they said, "What is that to us ? see thou to that."
27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the Temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
HE DIDN'T HANGED HIMSELF ; HE WAS MURDERED.
DR. JOHN LIGHFOOT* WRITES : 'Judas was a dangerous man to the high priest and the counsel because he repented. Matthew 27:5 be read, "He was hanged", or "strangled", instead of "hanged himself".
LET'S GO TO THE BOOK OF ACTS FOR A WITNESS.
Acts 1:16 "Men and brethren (Peter speaking), this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
1:17 For he was numbered with us (he was one of the disciples), and had obtained part of this ministry.
1:18 Now this man purchased a field (the potter's field) with the reward of iniquity ; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
SOMEBODY CUT HIM FROM THE BREASTBONE TO THE NAVEL, AND PUSHED HIM FORWARD ; HIS BOWELS GUSHED OUT.
JUDAS WAS MURDERED BY THE KENITES. WHY ? BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO SILENCE HIM, SO THEIR EVIL PLAN WOULDN'T BEEN REVEALED TO THE PEOPLE.
AFTER HE GAVE BACK THE MONEY, HE WAS STRANGLED AND WAS THROWN HEADLONG AND CUT FROM THE BREADBONE TO THE NAVEL.
THE SUICIDE WAS A PLOT TO COVER THEIR EVIL PLAN.
