JESUS IS THE MESSIAH
In today's blog, we are going to discuss Christ's sufferings that happened many years before the fact.
This should increase your faith and help others who might have doubts.
God's word has all the answers if we take the time to study it in depth.
Most churches are so consumed into their own doctrines and traditions ; they have failed to teach the people God's word as it is written.
LET'S GO TO THE BOOK OF ISAIAH.
Isaiah 53:2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground : He hath no form nor comeliness : and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.
IN OTHER WORDS, HE (CHRIST) LACKED NO BEAUTY.
53:3 He is despised and rejected of men ; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief : and we hid as it were our faces from Him ; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not (we didn't care).
53:4 Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows : yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
HE WAS PUNISHED FOR US.
53:5 But He was wounded (pierced) for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities : the chastisement of our peace was upon Him ; and with His stripes we are healed.
IN OTHER WORDS, HE TOOK THE BEATINGS AND THE NAILS FOR US.
HE WAS CRUCIFIED TO GET THE DEVIL OFF OUR BACKS (HEBREWS 2:14).
53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray ; we have turned everyone to his own way ; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
HE CARRIED ALL OF OUR INIQUITY.
THIS KIND OF LOVE YOU WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE IN THIS LIFE.
53:7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth : He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth.
WHEN HE WAS BROUGHT UP TO PONTIUS PILATE, HE DIDN'T OPEN HIS MOUTH.
WHY ? BECAUSE IT HAD TO BE DONE FOR OUR REDEMPTION.
53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment : and who shall declare His generation ? for He was cut off out of the land of the living : for the transgression of My people was he stricken.
HE WAS TAKEN FROM THE LAND OF THE LIVING, NOT FOR HIS TRANSGRESSIONS, BUT OURS.
53:9 And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death ; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.
JOSEPH OF ARIMATHEA (JESUS' UNCLE) BEGGED FOR THE BODY OF JESUS FROM PILATE (MATTHEW 27:57-60, MARK 15:43-46, LUKE 23:53, JOHN 19:4042).
HE WAS BURRIED WITH THE RICH ; JOSEPH OF ARIMATHEA WAS A VERY SUCCESSFUL "TIN" MAN (BIBLICAL HISTORY).
53:10 Yet it pleased (Yahaveh's purposed) the LORD to bruise Him ; He hath put Him to grief : when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure (purpose) of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
HE BECAME THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB ONCE AND FOR ALL ; NO MORE OFFERINGS.
53:11 He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied : by His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many ; for He shall bear their iniquities.
HIS KNOWLEDGE PUTS THE SEAL OF GOD IN YOUR FOREHEAD.
53:12 Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong ; because he hath poured out His soul unto death ; and He was numbered with the transgressors ; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
TRANSGRESSORS = CRIMINALS.
TWO THIEVES WERE ON EACH SIDE OF HIM.
HE WAS NOT TOO GOOD FOR US.
NOTE : Christ's crucifixion, even the gambling of His clothing is prophesied in Psalms 22, one thousand years before the fact.
Isaiah's prophecy was written in 649 B.C. , the year Uzziah, king of Judah died (many years before Christ).
Therefore this proves that God is real.
