THE BOX TREE

 

                 SATAN HAS MANY NAMES. ONE OF HIS NAMES IS "THE "BOX TREE".

Ezekiel 31:3 Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of high statute; and his top was among the thick boughs.

GOD USING THIS ANALOGY TO DESCRIBE SATAN.

THE ASSYRIAN= IT SHOULD READ "TE ASHSHUR"= A BOX TREE, INSTEAD OF "ASHSHUR= AN ASSYRIAN.

31:4  The waters (SYMBOLIC OF PEOPLE; REV. 17:15) made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plans, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.

SATAN'S FAMILY.

THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL = SATAN.

TREES= SYMBOLIC OF PEOPLE.

IT GOES BACK TO THE FOUR RIVERS IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN.

31:5  Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches (BRANCH IN THE HEBREW) became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.

31:6 All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs (ARMS), and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.

HE IS THE PRINCE OF THE AIR.

31:7  Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: for his root was by great waters.

GOD ALLOWED IT.

31:8 The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.

IN OTHER WORDS, SATAN WAS MADE THE FULL PATTERN (BEAUTY AND INTELLIGENCE).

ANGELS ARE MADE A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN WE ARE AND THEY ALSO HAVE A BODY.

MAKE A NOTE OF EZEKIEL 28.

31:9  I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches (MORE SETTLED THAN ALL THE LIVING CREATURES IN THE WORLD): so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him.

31:10  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; 'Because thou hast filled up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;

HE THINKS HE IS BETTER THAN ANYONE.

31:11  I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen (NATIONS); he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out (IN) for his wickedness.

31:12  And strangers (FOREIGNERS), the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land; and all the people of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.

GOD'S ELECT WILL BRING HIM DOWN.

31:13  Upon his ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven remain, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his branches:

31:14  To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death (DEATH IS ONE OF SATAN'S NAMES= HEB. 2:14), to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.'

HE IS VERY GOOD IN DECEPTION, AND HE WILL TAKE A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH HIM.

31:15  Thus saith the Lord GOD; 'In the day when he went down to the grave (HELL) I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him (HE VALUES THE DECEPTION).

31:16  I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down ( I CAUSED HIM TO DESCEND) to hell (GRAVE=SHEOL IN THE HEBREW) with them that descent unto the pit: and all the trees of Eden (ALL THE FAMILIES THAT CAME OUT OF THAT), the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.

SATAN WAS CREATED TO GUARD THE MERCY SEAT, IN THE FIRST EARTH AGE.

HE EARNED THE HIGHEST POSITION IN HEAVEN, BECAUSE HE WAS VERY INTELLIGENT AND GOOD OF WHAT HE DID. HOWEVER, PRIDE TOOK OVER, AND INSTEAD OF GUARDING THE MERCY SEAT HE WANTED TO BE GOD AND SIT ON IT HIMSELF. ONE THIRD OF GOD'S CHILDREN FOLLOWED HIM (REV. 12:3-4) AND GOD DID NOT WANT TO DESTROY ONE THIRD OF HIS CHILDREN; INSTEAD HE DESTROYED THAT AGE (THE DINOSAUR AGE).

HE CREATED THIS AGE, ERASED OUR MEMORY AND GAVE EVERYONE A CHOICE, TO FOLLOW HIM, OR SATAN.

THE ONLY ONES WHO HAVE NO FREE CHOICE (BECAUSE THEY WENT AGAINST SATAN IN THE FIRST EARTH AGE) ARE HIS ELECT. THEY WERE CHOSEN BEFORE THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE WORLD (JOHN 15:16).

MAKE A NOTE OF ISAIAH 45:18, JEREMIAH 4:22-27, II PETER 3:5-7.

Ezekiel 31:17  They also went down into hell (GRAVE*) with him unto them that be slain (SPIRITUALLY) with the sword; and they that were his arm (HIS SEED= THE KENITES), that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.

31:18  To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet thou shalt be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword.

This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD."

NOW HE IS GOING BACK TO PHARAOH HERE.

PHARAOH WAS ONLY A TYPE FOR THE EVENTS THAT WILL TRANSPIRE BEFORE AND AFTER CHRIST'S RETURN.

SATAN AND HIS PEOPLE WILL CEASE TO EXIST (IN THE GREEK) IN THE FUTURE.

SHEOL= GRAVE.

The first occurrence of this word is in Genesis 37:35, where it is rendered "grave". 

"THE GRAVE", it is to be distinguished from keber, A grave, or, burying place.

THE CROSS AND CRUCIFIXION

 

In the Greek N.T. two words are used for "the cross", on which the Lord was put to death.

1. The word stauros (Σταυρος) ; which denotes an upright pale or stake, to which the criminals were nailed for execution.

2. The word xulon (Ξυλον), which generally denotes a piece of a dead log or wood, or timber, for fuel or for any other purpose.

As this latter word xulon is used for the former stauros, it shows us that the meaning of each is exactly the same.

The verb stauroo  means to drive stakes.

The English word "cross" is the translation of the Latin crux; but the Greek stauros no more means a crux that the word "stick" means a "crutch".

It never means two pieces of timber placed across one another at any angle, but always of one piece alone.

There is nothing in the Greek of the N.T. even to imply two pieces of timber.

The letter Chi, X, the intial of the word Christ (Xριστος), was originally used for His name; This was superseded by symbols on these crosses of the Babylonian sun-god., and are first seen on a coin of Julius Caesar, 100-44 B.C., and then on a coin struck by Caesar's heir (Augustus), 20 B.C.

This is the symbol on the coins of Constantine :

This was the symbol especially venerated as the "Solar Wheel". It should be stated that Constantine was a sun-god worshipper, and would not enter the "Church" till some quarter of a century after the legend of his having seen such a cross in the heavens.

The catacombs in Rome bear the same testimony: "Christ" is never represented there as "hanging on a cross", and the cross itself is only portrayed in a veiled and hesitating matter. In the Egyptian churches the cross was a pagan symbol of life, borrowed by the Christians, and interpreted in the pagan manner.

"The Invention of the Cross" by Helena the mother of Constantine (in 326), though it means the finding of the cross, may or may not be true ; but the "invention" of it in pre-Christian times, and the "invention" of its use in later times, are truths of which we need to be reminded in the present day. The evidence is thus complete, that the Lord was put to death upon an upright stake, and not two pieces of timber placed at any angle.

THE PRINCIPLE UNDERLYING THE QUOTATIONS FROM THE O.T. IN THE NEW.

It is a fact that in quotations from the O.T. the Greek text sometimes differs from the Hebrew.

The difficulties found in connection with this subject arise from our thinking and speaking only of the human agent as the writer, instead of having regard to the fact that the word of God is the record of the words which He Himself employed when He spoke at "sundry times and in divers manners" (Heb. 1:1); and from not remembering (or believing) that "holy men of God" spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (II Peter 1:21, Matt. 15:4,Mark 12:36, Acts 1:16, 3:18, 28:25, Heb. 3:7, 9:8, 10:15.

If we believe that throughout the scriptures we have the words of God, and not of man, all difficulties vanish. The difficulties are created by first assuming that we are dealing with merely human documents, and then denying the Divine Speaker and Author the right that is claimed by every human writer for himself.

It thus seems that man may take any liberty he chooses in quoting, adapting, or repeating in a varied form for his own previously written words; but that he denies the Divine Author of Holy Scripture the right to deal in the same manner with His own words. This is the cause of all the so-called "discrepancies" and "difficulties" arising from man's ignorance.

The Holy Spirit, in referring to words which He has before caused to be written in connection with the special circumstances of each particular case, frequently refers to them again in relation to different circumstances and other cases. He could have employed other words had He chosen to do so ; but it has pleased Him to repeat His own words, introducing them in different connections, with other applications, and in new senses.

All these things are done, and words are even sometimes changed, in order to bring out some new truth for our learning. This is lost upon us when we charge upon God our own ignorance, and the supposed infirmities of human agencies.

THE BOOK OF REVELATION (19)

                                                           THE FINAL UTTERANCES. 

                                        THE SEVENTH AND LAST VISION ON EARTH.

Revelation 19:1  And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying,  "Alleluia (PRAISE YE THE LORD); Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the LORD our God:

THE VOICE OF THE GREAT MULTITUDE.

19:2  For true and righteous are His judgments: for He hath judged the great whore (WE SUPPOSE TO BE VIRGINS TO CHRIST SPIR.), which did corrupt the earth with her fornication (CAUSED THE PEOPLE TO JUMB INTO BED WITH SATAN SPIR.), and hath avenged the blood of His servants.

19:3  And again they said, "Alleluia."

And her smoke rose up forever and ever.

SMOKE= THERE IS AN ACROSTIC IN PSALMS 37 IN THE ORIGINAL TEXTS.

PART OF THE ACROSTIC IS, YOU WILL SEE IT HAPPENING.

GOD PLACE CERTAIN THINGS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE EYES TO SEE TO UNDERSTAND. IT IS NOT GIVEN FOR EVERYONE TO UNDERSTAND AT THIS TIME (MATT. 13:10).

IN THIS ACROSTIC THE QUESTION IS BEEN ASKED, 'WHY EVIL GETS AWAY AND GOOD NEVER PROSPERS?' GOD ANSWERS AND SAYS, 'THE WICKED WILL BE THE FAT OF THE SHEEP OR LAMB ON THE SPIT.

IN OTHER WORDS, THEY WILL TURN INTO ASHES FROM WITHIN. THE SMOKE GOES FOREVER AND EVER.

DECEPTION IS OVER.

19:4  And the four and twenty elders (THE 12 PATRIARCHS AND THE 12 APOSTLES) and the four beasts (CHERUBIM THAT GUARD THE MERCY SEAT) fell down and worshipped God That sat on the throne, saying, "Amen; Alleluia."

19:5  And a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all ye His servants, "Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him (REVERENCE HIM), both small and great."

19:6  And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters (PEOPLE ; REV. 17:15), and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia: for the LORD God Omnipotent (ALMIGHTY) reigneth.

19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.

HIS ELECTION WAS A VIRGIN BRIDE TO CHRIST, THEREFORE, THEY WILL BE IN THE MARRIAGE SUPPER.

GOD'S ELECT WERE JUSTIFIED IN THE FIRST EARTH AGE (ROMANS 8:26)

MAKE A NOTE OF MATT. 25.

19:8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness (RIGHTEOUS ACTS IN THE GREEK) of saints.

19:9  And he saith unto me, "Write, 'Blessed are they which are called (THE ELECT DID NOT VOLUNTEER BUT ARE CALLED) unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he saith unto me, "These are the true sayings of God."

19:10  And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, "See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant (SOMEONE LIVED ON EARTH AND HAD PASSED ON), and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (IT'S GOING TO PASS EXACTLY THE WAY IT IS WRITTEN)."

19:11   And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and He That sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.

HE DOESN'T DECLARE WAR TO HIS OWN, ONLY TO THE ONES WHO DESERVE IT.

19:12  His eyes were as a flame of fire (GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE= HEB. 2:29. HE WARMS OUR HEARTS BUT DESTROYS THE ENEMY), and on His head were many crowns (ALL CROWNS ARE MELTED INTO ONE. THIS IS WHY HE IS KING OF KINGS); and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.

19:13  And He was clothed with a vesture dipped (DYE OR STAINED) in blood: and His name is called The word of God (JOHN 1:1).

19:14  And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean (THE ONES WHO WASHED THEIR ROBES IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB).

19:15  And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword (THE TWO EDGED SWORD= THE TRUTH OF THE WORD OF GOD), that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron (WITH AUTHORITY): and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

19:16  And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

THIS IS THE FINAL FULFILMENT.

19:17  And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God (TO THE GREAT SUPPER OF GOD IN THE GREEK);

19:18  That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great."

FLESH TURNS TO DUST (ZECH.14), WE ARE ALL CHANGED INTO OUR SPIRITUAL BODY UPON HIS RETURN.

THE FLESH AGE IS OVER.

19:19  And I saw the beast (SATAN'S POLITICAL SYSTEM), and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him That sat on the horse, and against His army.

MAKE A NOTE OF DANIEL 11.

19:20  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet (SATAN'S POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS SYSTEM) that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast (THE ONES WHO WORSHIPPED HIM AND FOLLOWED HIS SYSTEM), and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone (HIS SYSTEM WAS THROWN INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE = CEASED TO EXIST).

SATAN WILL BE ALLOWED TO DECEIVE THEM AGAIN AFTER THE MILLENNIUM.

19:21  And the remnant (THE FALLEN ANGELS) were slain with the sword of Him (HE DESTROYED THEM) That sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of His mouth (HIS TRUTH): and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

THE VOICE FROM THE WILDERNESS

                                                  MESSIAH'S ANOINTING AND MISSION.

 GOD'S CONTROVERSY WITH ISRAEL (NOT THE TODAY'S COUNTRY OF ISRAEL, BUT THE TRIBES).

                                         GOD'S CONTROVERSY WITH THE NATIONS.

Isaiah 40:1 "Comfort ye, comfort ye My People,"saith your God.

COMFORT FOR JERUSALEM.

40:2 "Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare (HARDSHIPS) is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double (IN FULL) for all her sins."

THIS IS FUTURE.

40:3  The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, "Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

QUOTED IN MATT.3:3, MARK 1:3, LUKE 3:4-6, JOHN 1:23, I PETER 1:24.

JOHN THE BAPTIST WAS A TYPE OF ELIJAH.

THIS WAS WRITTEN SIX HUNDRED AND A HALF YEARS BEFORE CHRIST, AND BEFORE JOHN THE BAPTIST.

THE VOICE = THE VOICE OF THE TEMPLE IN CHAPTER 6, CONCERNING THE SCATTERING, AND THIS VOICE OUTSIDE THE LAND CONCERNING THE GATHERING. THE VOICE WAS NOT ISAIAH'S, BUT HEARD BY HIM IN VISION. JOHN THE BAPTIST CLAIMS IT; BUT THIS PEOPLE WOULD NOT HEAR; AND HE WHOM HE HERALDED WAS CRUCIFIED AND HIS KINGDOM WAS REJECTED (JOHN 1:11). THE KING AND THE KINGDOM ARE THEREFORE ALIKE IN ABEYANCE , AND THE PROPHECY YET AWAKE ITS FUTURE FULFILMENT.

40:4  Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

THIS WILL HAPPEN WHEN THE NEW EARTH AGE BEGINS.

THESE PHYSICAL MARVELS ARE SUPERNATURAL, AND CAN NEVER BE PRODUCED BY THE SPIRITUAL AND HOLY LIVING OF INDIVIDUAL CHRISTIANS.

40:5  And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

THIS IS ALL FUTURE.

40:6  The voice (THIS IS A SECOND VOICE= THE VOICE OF GOD) said, "Cry (SHOUT)." And he said, "What shall I cry?" "All flesh (ALL PEOPLE) is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

IN OTHER WORDS, FLESH IS NO BETTER THAN GRASS.

40:7  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

40:8  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever."

FLESH DON'T LAST LONG, BUT GOD'S WORD LASTS FOREVER.

40:9  O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, "Behold your God (THIS SENTENCE IS APPLICABLE TO THE GOSPEL BY JOHN)!"

40:10  Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him: behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.

REFERRING TO CHRIST.

HE WILL TEACH AND JUDGE.

40:11  He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

HE DOES TAKE CARE OF HIS OWN.

40:12  Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

HE CREATED AND BALANCED EVERYTHING.

40:13  Who hath directed the spirit of the LORD, or being His counseller hath taught Him?

NOBODY HAS.

40:14  With whom took He counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of judgment, and taught Him knowledge, and shewed to Him the way of understanding?

ALL WISDOM COMES FROM GOD (PROVERBS 1:7).

40:15  Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, He taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

THE NATIONS, GOVERNMENTS ARE NOTHING COMPARING TO THE POWER OF GOD.

40:16  And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn (FOR WOOD-OFFERING), nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

CHRIST WAS OUR SACRIFICE.

40:17  All nations before Him are as nothing; and they are counted to Him less than nothing, and vanity (EMPTY).

40:18  To whom then will ye liken GOD? or what likeness will ye compare unto Him?

WHO ARE YOU GOING TO COMPARE HIM WITH?

40:19  The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over gold, and casteth silver chains.

40:20  He that is so improverished (POOR) that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved (NOT FALL OVER; HEAVIER AT THE BOTTOM THAN THE TOP).

40:21  Have ye not known: have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth (THE FIRST AGE BEGINS THE MYSTERY)?

40:22  It is He That sitteth upon the circle of the earth (A COMPASS THAT MAKES THE CIRCLE), and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; That stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

40:23  That bringeth the princes to nothing (PRINCE OF THE AIR IS SATAN, AND THE PRINCES ARE THE KENITES, HIS OFFSPRING); He maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

THE EVIL PART OF THE WORLD WON'T WIN.

40:24  Yea, they shall not be planted (STAND); yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and He shall  also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind (GOD'S VEHICLE) shall take them away as stubble (STRAW).

40:25  "To whom they will ye liken Me, or shall I be equal?" saith the Holy One.

YOU CANNOT COMPARE HIM TO ANYONE OR ANYTHING.

40:26  "Lift up your eyes on high, and behold Who hath created these things, That bringeth out their host by number: He calleth them all by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one faileth.

HE KNOWS ALL THE STARS; HE NAMED THEM HIMSELF.

40:27  Why sayest thou O Jacob (ALL 12 TRIBES), and speakest, O Israel, 'My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?'

WHY THEY SAY GOD ISN'T FAIR.

40:28  Hast thou not known ? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding.

GOD NEVER GETS TIRED ; HE TAKES CARE OF THE WEAK.

40:29  He giveth power to the faint (THE WEAK); and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.

40:30  Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall (WITHOUT GOD'S HELP):
